3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Great TV - Awful Packing (At least on the one I received), February 3, 2013 This review is from: Sceptre E425BV-FHDD 42-Inch 3D 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV (Black) (Electronics) Let me start by saying the picture on the TV is great for the price. It shows a bit of uneven brightness, but that is common with these edge lit LED TVs. BUT MY BIG WARNING is that mine was packaged with some faulty plastic over the screen that had adhered to it in three places almost as if it had been glued. I took my wife and I two hours to carefully remove the stuck plastic from the screen. This was majorly aggravating and reflects an issue with Sceptre's packaging. If you get a TV with this faulty plastic over the screen be prepared to return it or spend a long time carefully removing it. The sound is a weak point. For best results use a sound system. This is common among modern thin flat panel TVs, but overall Sceptre's speakers are weaker than my Vizio flat panel. Overall: At sub-400 price the picture and 3D picture capabilities are a good value, but be careful with packaging and don't expect awesome sound. I started out using it on my Directv and the picture is AWESOME!!!! HD looks beautiful on this TV. I haven't tried the HD yet,but hope to soon. It's now connected to my PS3 and computer using hdmi. Both look really great and the only problem I can see id that I have 2 dead pixels. But they are both about an inch from the top of the screen and very hard to notice unless looking for them. The sound isn't bad,but it isn't the greatest. But it does have a 6 band EQ to help make it better. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you?
